Have you ever been challenged by wanting to run in the pool and discover that you are limited to a confined space within a lane? If so, we have a solution for your problem. We are happy to introduce our new tethering system that works with our improved Zero Gravity Buoyancy Suit! We have added a small D-Ring at hip level on each side of the suit that you can attach our elastic tether to with 2 small clips. Then simply attach the "s hook" that is also attached to the elastic tether to a lane line, face the opposite direction and run to your heart's content! This can also be used with bars along an edge of the pool, etc. Run or workout with a friend or a group and make it a great experience.
To maximize your experience with the AQx Zero Gravity Buoyancy Suit + Tether System, we recommend the following:
1. Pool etiquette: always seek permission from your local pool personnel and the lifeguard before using this AQx system.
2. Proper use:
A. Using the plastic clips on both ends of the tether (bungi), the tether should be securely attached to the AQx Zero Gravity Buoyancy Suit via the D-rings that are located at hip level on each side of the suit.
B. Once the tether is securely attached to the suit, the opposite end of the tether will have a metal “S” hook on it. Attach the open end of the “S” hook to a lane line or a similar area of the pool. This will allow you to safely exercise in a vertical posture while maintaining your small space in the pool.
A. Never use the AQx tethering system (Zero Gravity Buoyancy Suit + tether) for any unintended activity. It is designed to be used for primarily vertical activities and exercise, e.g. deep-water running, cross country skiing in deep water, shallow water running and running drills, selected plyometric and SAQ drills, etc. However, with proper instruction and attention to safe technique some horizontal activities may be appropriate, e.g. swimming (arms only), selected “core” exercises (variations of knee-ups or sit-ups)
B. Never use a tether with a broken clip or excessively worn material, i.e. “frayed” bungi. Excessive wear and tear on a tether can increase the risk of the tether breaking and causing a possible injury.
C. Never use the pool/aquatic facility without trained supervision. Even in a home pool setting it is always good to have someone with you in case of a medical emergency.
D. Due to the risk of entanglement between the legs and the tether, NEVER use the tether in a prone position for swim “kicking” drills and activities,
E. Due to the risk of entanglement between the legs and the tether, NEVER use the tether while attached to the hips, but unattached to a stationary structure.
*WARNING*The AQx Zero Gravity Suit is not a lifesaving device. The Zero Gravity Suit is to be used by qualified swimmers for exercise purposes only and should never be used by children or anyone who cannot swim. The design of the suit will not prevent drowning because the buoyancy factor and its distribution are not sufficient to float a conscious or unconscious person in the “face out of the water” position. User assumes all risks involved in using the Zero Gravity Suit. Please return your purchase, unused, for a refund if you do not agree to these terms.
Please consult a physician before beginning this exercise program. The AQx program can be modified to fit virtually any fitness level, however if you experience any unusual pain or discomfort during exercise stop immediately and contact your physician or certified trainer.
