Dr. Garry Killgore; Founder and President:
Dr. Garry Killgore is the President and one of the founding partners of AQx. He oversees all business operations including management of the AQx Corporate Headquarters, product development, authoring research articles, and leading training clinics. Killgore is a Full Professor and Academic Chair of Human Performance at Linfield College and earned his Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics in 2003. He has published and presented on the biomechanics of running both on land and in water, prevention of running-related injuries and scientific concepts applied to coaching. His specialty is alternative training and rehabilitation for athletes. He was first certified as an American Red Cross lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor in 1980 and has held several aquatic-related positions with a variety of organizations, most notably, Oregon State University’s Summer Youth programs, 4-H Camps, and the Boy Scouts of America where he served as the Aquatics Director. He was recently named the Linfield College “Edith Green Distinguished Professor” for 2010 and the 2008 College/University Physical Education Teacher of the Year for the State of Oregon. Killgore has delivered presentations on water training and conditioning to a variety of audiences all over the U.S., most notably at the International Aquatic Fitness/AEA Conference, World Aquatic Health Conference, USA Track and Field Association’s national conference (Podium Project), and the NW Associations of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, American College of Sports Medicine and the National Athletic Training Association, as well as in England, Ireland, and Spain.
Killgore just completed his 21st year as Linfield College’s (NCAA III) Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track and Field Coach. Killgore was named NCAA III Indoor and Outdoor T&F Men’s Coach of the Year and Women’s Coach of the Year for the West Region in 2007 and 2006 respectively, and the Indoor Track and Field Coach of the year in 2009 and 2010. He was also named the Northwest Conference Men’s T&F Coach of the Year in 1991, 1992, 1994, 1995, 1996, and 2007. In addition, he was named Women’s T&F Coach of the Year in 1993 and in 1996. Lastly, Killgore’s athletes have earned nine national titles, sixteen national runners-up, and over 96 all-american and 87 academic all-american honors, a “National Field Event Athlete of the year for NCAA III T&F”, a NCAA Woman of the year award, as well as competed in the 1992 and 1996 Canadian Olympic Trials (PV) and the 1996 and 2000 US Olympic Trials (1500/800).

Scott Brosius; Co-Owner:
Scott played collegiate baseball at Linfield College, and after being drafted following his junior season began his professional baseball career with the Oakland Athletics. Scott played 10 seasons in the major leagues, spending 1991-1997 with Oakland before getting traded to the New York Yankees prior to the 1998 season. In his 4 seasons in New York, the Yankees went to four straight World Series, winning three titles in a row from 1998-2000. Scott was named the World Series Most Valuable Player in 1998 following his dramatic, clutch performances. He also played in the All-Star game in 1998 and won an American League Gold Glove Award in 1999. Scott finished his degree in Business Administration from Linfield in 2000 while still playing for the Yankees. Retiring from professional baseball after the 2001 season to spend more time at home, Scott now coaches baseball at Linfield College and is involved in a variety of organizations around McMinnville.

Kelly McDonald; Chief Operating Officer:
Kelly joined AQx Sports as Chief Operating Officer in 2008. As COO, Kelly oversees all operational and management functions of the AQx Corporate Headquarters, is in charge of Strategic & Business planning, global sourcing and serves on the board of directors. Kelly is a Linfield College Graduate in Business Management and Computer Science and has nearly 30 years of Business experience in positions such as Operations Management, President and CEO as well as a wealth of Entrepreneurial Vision and Business Development experience. Kelly is a community spirited person who has served on the McMinnville Area Chamber of Commerce Board for 8 years and is a founding member of the McMinnville Economic Development Partnership where he has served for 9 years.

Laura Sibley; Business Operations Manager:
Laura joined AQx as an Intern in February of 2009. After graduating from Linfield College in May of 2009, she joined the AQx team fulltime as our Business Operations Manager. As BOM, Laura manages many of the day to day operations of AQx, including online communications and marketing, market research, product demonstration, and various aspects of business development. At Linfield, Laura studied Business Management, Coaching, and Studio Art. She competed on the Track and Field team for four years in the hurdles, heptathlon, and relays; the highlight of her college track career being her participation at the 2009 National Championship Meet in the 400 meter hurdles. Laura has logged over 1,000 hours using the AQx program in the past five years giving her a wide range of knowledge and expertise on our products and program.

Chris Miles; Creative Director:
Creative Director Chris Miles joined the AQx team in Spring of 2009, bringing with him an arsenal of graphic design skill and marketing insight. As Production Manager for the bi-weekly McMinnville newspaper the News-Register, Chris has finely tuned his branding and advertising knowledge, as well as his graphic design artistry and know-how. In little less than three years at the News-Register Chris has won over 22 awards for his editorial graphics, media covers and advertisements! Aside from being a graphics guru, Chris is also the Strength and Conditioning coach for the Linfield Wildcats men and woman’s Swim teams and a volunteer throwing coach for Linfield’s Track and Field teams. Upon graduating Linfield College in 2006, Chris won a National Championship in football, was a track and field MVP and was awarded the Top Honor, Merritt Award for his major in Studio Art. But, as he would tell you, his greatest victory came when he won the heart of his wife, Danielle! Chris and Danielle became engaged their senior at Linfield and were married August 18, 2006 right after graduation. Together, with Rampage their colossal cat and puppy Madi, they reside in McMinnville, Oregon.
